[Hiring] In-house Legal Counsel @EXUS

Role Description

EXUS is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Compliance and Risk Management function as an in-house legal advisor. The role will provide day-to-day legal support across EXUS Group on a range of matters, including:

• Commercial and employment contracts
• Legal operations
• Corporate governance
• Regulatory compliance
• Coordination with external legal advisors

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Handle routine legal queries and contract-related matters
• Support business teams during contract review and negotiation processes
• Ensure that agreements are properly reviewed, approved, and filed
• Identify issues that require escalation to senior legal team members where appropriate

Qualifications

• University degree in Law from a recognized and reputable university
• Qualified lawyer in the UK or Greece
• Postgraduate qualifications in commercial, corporate, or international business law is preferred
• 4-6 years of professional legal experience, preferably with exposure to commercial, corporate, or employment matters
• Experience in a structured law firm environment as a corporate lawyer and/or in an in-house legal function
• Experience in technology, SaaS, software, fintech, or international business environments would be considered a plus
• GDPR, data protection, or DPO-related experience would be considered a plus

Requirements

• Experienced in contract drafting, review, and negotiation
• Proficiency in English and legal terminology; fluency in additional languages is a plus
• Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain legal issues clearly to non-lawyer management and operational teams
• Practical, business-oriented mindset and ability to assess legal risk effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
• Proactive, flexible, and able to operate in a fast-paced international environment
• Tech-savvy, with good command of MS Office, productivity tools, and automation-enabled ways of working
