Role Description
We are looking for an experienced
Head of Legal
to lead the company’s legal function and act as a strategic legal partner for leadership within a fast-growing international business. This role is responsible for legal strategy, regulatory compliance, corporate structuring, commercial contracting, legal operations, and team leadership across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate has strong experience working in regulated and international environments and is able to balance legal risk with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Legal Strategy & Governance

Develop and implement the company’s legal strategy aligned with business objectives.

Establish legal governance frameworks, policies, and decision-making processes.

Identify, prioritize, and mitigate legal risks across business operations.

Advise C-level leadership on legal implications of strategic initiatives.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

Monitor legal and regulatory requirements across all operating jurisdictions.

Ensure company activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Coordinate with compliance teams and external advisors where necessary.

Support regulatory audits and regulatory inquiries.

Corporate Structuring & International Expansion

Provide legal support for corporate structuring and group governance.

Support establishment of new legal entities and international expansion initiatives.

Coordinate with local legal advisors and corporate service providers.

Maintain corporate documentation and governance standards.

Team Leadership & Legal Function Development

Lead and develop the legal team.

Allocate legal workload and prioritize legal support across business functions.

Develop internal legal expertise and scalable legal processes aligned with company growth.

Commercial & Strategic Contracts

Oversee key commercial contracts with providers, vendors, and strategic partners.

Develop contracting standards, templates, and approval workflows.

Review and negotiate high-risk and high-value agreements.

Employment & HR Legal Oversight

Oversee employment structures and workforce arrangements.

Develop and review employment policies and related documentation.

Support HR initiatives and employee-related legal matters.
-
Assess and mitigate labor law and contractor-related risks.

Contract Registry & Legal Operations

Manage the company’s contract registry and legal documentation systems.

Develop legal operations processes, workflows, and document management standards.

Ensure accessibility, organization, and traceability of key legal documents.
Qualifications

6+ years of relevant legal experience, including leadership responsibilities.

Strong expertise in corporate structuring, commercial contracts, M&A, and corporate governance.

Deep understanding of local and international regulations relevant to regulated or international industries.

Experience with labor law, contractor agreements, HR policies, and workforce structuring.

Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks across the business.

Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value or complex contracts.

Experience with cross-border entity setup and governance.
-
Knowledge of legal tech, contract registries, workflow optimization, and knowledge management.
-
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
-
Qualified lawyer / attorney status is a plus.
-
English — Upper-Intermediate or higher.
