[Hiring] Global Contracts Manager @Fairbanks Morse Defense

Role Description

Join the dynamic team at Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD) as a Global Contracts Manager and play a vital role in managing and negotiating government, commercial, and international contracts that drive our global success. In this role, you’ll collaborate with Business Unit leaders, legal counsel, and finance teams to review, draft, and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with FMD’s business strategy and legal interests. Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Review/revise customer terms and conditions to align with FMD’s risk and liability requirements.
• Assist Business Unit (BU) teams in negotiating pricing and terms and conditions.
• Perform contract administration activities in support of FMD government, commercial, and international contracts.
• Draft contract language as required.
• Draft and negotiate other agreements, including teaming agreements and memorandums of understanding.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals for new, existing, and change order contracts.
• Provide advice and assistance to management on customer-directed changes or disputes during contract performance.
• Educate BU Leaders and key staff on the importance of contract control and handling of contract actions.
• Provide advice on U.S. Government and foreign governments acquisition rules and regulations.
• Maintain FMD’s files for all assigned contracts and agreements.
• Coordinate with legal counsel on all issues as appropriate.
• Assist BU Leaders and finance personnel on financially related contract issues.
• Participate in generating internal monthly and quarterly reports reflecting actual and projected orders, EBIT, and cash flow.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a contracts administrator required, including significant experience in U.S. Government contracting.
• Experience in international contracting desired.
• BS/BA degree.
• Strong knowledge of international procurement laws and regulations (INCOTERMS, International Chamber of Commerce, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Self-starter who works well within a team environment.
