Role Description
The Executive Claims Specialist will handle a regular diary of primary and excess Cyber, Privacy, Media, Technology E&O, and Miscellaneous Professional Liability claims, and must have prior experience handling Cyber incidents and class action litigation. These claims involve a high degree of technical evaluation and often include complex issues. The Executive Specialist must analyze and resolve claims from a coverage determination through resolution, including:

Assessing potential exposure in a timely and accurate manner

Handling Incident Response, coverage investigation, regulatory investigations, litigation, and/or negotiation following cyber incidents
This position will add to a growing department and will report to an Executive Risk Claims Manager. It has a flexible workplace location for the right candidate, including the ability to work remotely or with a hybrid in-office/remote presence in various C&F offices.
What you will do for C&F:

Accountable for the full handling and control of all claims/losses assigned, including:

Timely coverage analysis and letter writing

Investigation

Incident response

Evaluation

Reserve adequacy and timeliness

Diary maintenance

Management of counsel and other vendors

Reinsurance reporting

Claim disposition
-
Consistent prompt evaluation of potential exposure present as to all claims assigned

Ability to adapt to changing circumstances as claims develop
-
Segregate potentially significant claims possessing considerable exposure from straightforward claims
-
Consider and formulate a possible resolution strategy at the earliest possible opportunity

Claim presentations, both written and oral, will be required on a regular basis
-
Superior customer service to all policyholders, agents, and others encountered during the claims handling process

Market claim services and coordinate and participate in presentations to customers or potential customers
-
Attend conferences at various locations in the United States at the request of management
-
May work on special projects, as assigned
Qualifications
-
6+ years of experience handling cyber, privacy, media, and tech E&O claims preferred
-
Juris Doctor highly preferred but not required

Must possess multiple state adjuster licenses

Demonstrated presentation skills

Outstanding interpersonal skills

Experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs
