Role Description
The Docket Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing requests for court dockets and related legal documents. This role involves:

Monitoring incoming requests

Researching and retrieving documents from state and federal courts

Entering request and payment information

Ensuring completed documents are returned to the appropriate requester
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment. They are comfortable working with large amounts of information, following established processes, and managing multiple requests while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities include:

Monitor the docket request intake database and process incoming requests for court dockets and legal documents.

Review requests to identify the appropriate court, docket, and documents required.

Research and retrieve requested dockets and legal filings using online legal research and court resources.

Submit requests to state and federal courts when requested dockets or documents are not readily available.

Complete court request forms and provide the required information to obtain requested documents.

Process applicable document retrieval fees using company-provided payment methods.

Accurately enter request, court, document, and payment information into the docket fulfillment system.

Download, organize, and attach retrieved dockets and documents to the corresponding client request.

Ensure completed requests and documents are returned to the appropriate requester in a timely manner.

Handle requests for missing dockets, sealed entries, unavailable documents, and other reported issues.

Monitor outstanding requests and follow up as needed to ensure timely fulfillment.

Maintain accurate records of completed requests and associated costs for monthly client billing.

Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding request status, issues, and exceptions.

Follow established processes and quality standards to ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
Qualifications

Previous experience in data entry, document processing, administrative support, or a related role.

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency with computer applications, databases, and data entry systems.

Ability to learn and navigate new software, online research tools, and document management systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests and priorities.

Ability to follow established procedures while identifying and resolving issues when they arise.
Requirements

Legal education or coursework in law, legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field.

Experience working with legal documents, court records, or legal databases.

Familiarity with online legal research platforms or court document systems.

Previous experience working in a legal, financial, or professional services environment.

Experience processing document retrieval requests or working with government or court systems.

Familiarity with document management or workflow management systems.
