Role Description
The Corporate Compliance Director oversees the Psychiatric Medical Care (PMC) Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews, promotes, and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within PMC. The position ensures that PMC achieves consistently high levels of compliance with all laws and regulations while supporting the growth of PMC. Additionally, the position ensures that PMC's policies and procedures are being followed and that behavior in the organization meets PMC's Code of Conduct and Ethics.
Duties and Responsibilities

Leads PMC's Corporate Compliance Program and Committee; provides oversight and guidance for the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Director, and senior management on compliance matters.

Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies, procedures, and practices for PMC to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.

Develops and periodically reviews and updates the PMC Code of Conduct to ensure its relevance and guidance for management and employees.

Collaborates with other PMC departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for investigation and resolution.

Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct & Ethics.

Acts as an independent review and evaluation body for compliance issues/concerns within PMC.

Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans.

Works with Chief Clinical Director to ensure proper reporting of violations to enforcement agencies as required.

Establishes and manages PMC compliance and human resources hotline and other reporting channels.

Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program for the organization.

Develops an effective compliance training program for new and existing employees and monitors its performance.

Prepares periodic reports to the Board of Directors and the CEO detailing compliance initiatives and recommendations.

Performs other appropriate functions as assigned by the Board of Directors or executive leadership.

Utilizes PMCβs resources and time respectfully and accountably.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree or certification preferred.

Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred.

Minimum 5 yearsβ experience in a healthcare setting with responsibilities related to regulatory issues; direct corporate compliance experience preferred.

Demonstrated history of effective problem-solving, leading, collaborating, and communicating.
Physical Requirements

Light lifting, pushing, and pulling for 1-20 lbs occasionally.

Frequent moving of objects of less than 10 lbs.

Frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending, and reaching required.

Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
