Role Description
WSP is currently seeking an operational contract support role responsible for increasing subcontracting throughput, strengthening documentation governance, and supporting Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) implementation. This position can be located anywhere WSP USA has an office location.

Interpret Client contracts to identify major contract requirements, insurance, and mandatory required flow downs.

Quickly identify and prioritize business, legal, and financial risk, and work with business leaders to mitigate that risk.

Prepare Subcontracts and other agreement types such as:
-
Memoranda of understanding
-
Teaming agreements
-
Intercompany agreements
-
Task orders
-
Professional services agreements
-
Non-professional/commercial agreements
-
Master Agreements
-
Collaborate with business leaders to ensure accuracy with payment terms and review scopes of work and performance schedules.

Engage with the business leaders and subcontractors to resolve subcontract-related issues.

Manage completion of subcontracting activities, including:
-
Identifying and solving problems
-
Proactively challenging the project team to consider new alternatives
-
Driving critical thinking to optimize results
-
Work on several projects simultaneously with the ability to prioritize to ensure all deadlines are met and maximize impact and results.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding subcontract progress and accomplishments.
-
Provide training to internal stakeholders, as needed.
-
Perform additional duties, as applicable.

Manage intake and triage of subcontract and contract-related requests through the CLM system, ensuring accurate routing, prioritization, and tracking.

Administer and oversee contracts across the full lifecycle within the CLM system, including:

Request initiation
-
Drafting
-
Review
-
Approval workflows
-
Execution
-
Renewal/closeout
-
Ensure all subcontract records, documents, and data are accurately maintained and stored within the CLM repository.

Monitor personal dashboards from the CLM system to track status, cycle times, compliance, and workload metrics.
Qualifications
-
The Subcontracting team manages a large volume of requests, so candidates must have the ability to fluidly manage workload in accordance with shifting business objectives and internal client priorities, including within a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.

Demonstrated experience managing request intake, contract tracking, or workflow systems is preferred.

Enthusiasm for learning new technology and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Law or equivalent.
-
5+ years' prior relevant experience in drafting and editing agreements with government and private sector clients and vendors.

Experience with contract law principles and experience drafting several types of agreements, including:

Memoranda of understanding
-
Teaming agreements
-
Intercompany agreements
-
Task orders
-
Professional services agreements
-
Non-professional/commercial agreements
-
Master agreements
-
Working knowledge of commercial, federal, state, and local government contracting and practices.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, strong time management skills, and the ability to prioritize work.

Ability to multi-task and work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

Excellent conflict resolution skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external parties at any level of the organizational hierarchy.

Must be able to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate for desired outcomes.

Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding Subcontract issues, audits, and compliance requirements, as needed.

Highly proficient in Microsoft applications such as MS Office Suite 360, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Docusign.

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and anti-harassment policies.

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Requirements
-
Experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems, preferably Agiloft or similar platforms.

Familiarity with workflows, contract templates, and data management within a CLM system.
-
Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM).
-
Paralegal certification is a plus.

Experience working with public infrastructure projects, Transportation Engineering, Architecture, Strategic Consulting, Construction Management, and Design Build.

Working knowledge of FAR compensation methods (i.e., CPFF, T&M, FP, LS, NBR, and CPM) and the specific requirements associated with each type.
