Every purchase agreement that crosses a school district's desk carries real stakes, for the district, for the students who'll use the materials, and for Macmillan Learning and BFW's ability to deliver on what we've promised. This role sits right at that intersection.

As Contracts & Privacy Manager on the Bids & Contracts team, you'll:

• Evaluate and negotiate purchase agreements for textbooks, Achieve platform access, and Professional Development services across K-12 districts and Higher Ed institutions.
• Ensure student data privacy terms hold up to FERPA and COPPA standards.
• Maintain an accurate and audit-ready contract repository.

Qualifications

• 6+ years evaluating, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements or contract administration within EdTech, educational publishing, or K-12/Higher Ed procurement.
• Direct experience evaluating customer agreements for educational software/LMS platforms, print/digital instructional materials, and professional development services.
• Hands-on experience evaluating and negotiating district Data Protection Agreements and student data privacy addenda.
• Strong experience uploading, indexing, and maintaining metadata records in a Contract Lifecycle Management system or repository tool (such as DocuSign CLM, Salesforce, or Conga).
• Proven ability to build contract status reports and track turnaround metrics.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (Track Changes, redlining) and e-signature platforms like DocuSign.

Requirements

• Exceptional attention to detail when auditing contract metadata and repository records.
• Ability to manage a high contract volume during seasonal back-to-school and adoption cycles.
• Clear, confident communication with district procurement officers, school attorneys, and internal sales partners.
