Role Description
McNees, Wallace & Nurick is actively seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join our New Business Intake & Research Department. This position supports the department and Firm Counsel in promptly responding to all new business requests submitted firm-wide, including:

Requests related to existing and potential new clients

Requests related to new hires
-
Requests for proposal
The conflicts analyst is responsible for:

Providing analysis and guidance regarding conflicts of interest related to new business and lateral hires.

Analyzing conflict reports and communicating effectively and confidentially with internal clients.
-
Correcting inconsistent party information on requests.
-
Assisting with the identification of additional parties based on various sources.
-
Handling the client intake process from beginning to end, including running diligence.
-
Identifying and performing large-scale projects to reconcile party information in the conflicts database.
-
Fielding questions from staff and attorney users regarding intake/conflicts software.
-
Recommending process/service improvements and policy changes.
-
Ensuring compliance with Firm policies and procedures.
-
Exercising independent judgment and discretion.

Assisting with a wide range of research projects as necessary.
Qualifications
-
Bachelorβs degree required.

Law firm and conflicts of interest analysis or related risk management initiatives.
-
Familiarity with Upfront, Intapp, or other conflicts database software and diligence tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
-
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of work within a team.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
