What You'll Do as the Civil Litigation Attorney:

Manage a caseload of civil litigation and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution

Handle pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, and court appearances

Develop case strategy and provide thoughtful legal analysis

Maintain strong client relationships and deliver responsive communication

Collaborate with partners and fellow attorneys on complex litigation matters

Participate in business development and client-facing opportunities as experience allows

Meet billable hour expectations while maintaining high-quality legal work
Qualifications

Licensed attorney in New York State or ability to obtain admission

2+ years of experience handling civil litigation matters

Insurance defense experience

Ability to independently manage files and move cases forward with minimal supervision

Strong writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom skills

Excellent organizational and communication abilities
