As a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Legal Assistant, you will:

• Prepare and organize Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements, and related legal documents.
• Collect, review, and organize client financial records, including tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, and creditor information.
• Communicate with clients professionally to obtain missing documentation and provide case updates.
• Assist attorneys with court filings, deadlines, hearings, and trustee requirements.
• Monitor case progress and maintain accurate records in the firm's case management system.
• Draft and review routine legal correspondence and bankruptcy documents.
• Coordinate with clients, trustees, courts, and creditors throughout the bankruptcy process.
• Maintain organized digital case files and ensure all information is complete and up to date.
• Track important deadlines and proactively follow up to keep cases moving efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with Chapter 13 Bankruptcy cases.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy petitions, schedules, trustee requirements, and court filing procedures.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Professional written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple active cases.
• Experience with bankruptcy or legal case management software is a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
