Role Description
briefCASE Legal Support, LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented personal injury Case Manager to support DJC Law, a fast-growing and successful personal injury law firm based in Texas, United States. This position is offered on a remote, independent contractor basis and is ideal for a candidate based outside the U.S. who has prior experience supporting U.S. personal injury attorneys and is comfortable working overlapping hours with a U.S.-based team.

Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, guide, mentor, and train Legal Assistants; support onboarding and ongoing professional development.

Case Oversight & Quality Control: Monitor casework for accuracy, completeness, efficiency, and compliance with firm standards. Ensure demands, proofs of payment, discovery responses, requests, and other documents are in final form before attorney review or sign-off.

Attorney Support & Case Valuation: Provide attorneys with case-specific information, context, and input regarding case valuation and support attorneys throughout case negotiations.

Pre-Litigation & Litigation Support: Maintain working knowledge of both pre-litigation and litigation processes and provide guidance to Legal Assistants throughout the case lifecycle.

Performance & Accountability: Monitor team performance metrics, productivity, time and attendance, and quality of work. Identify performance concerns and escalate patterns of non-compliance when appropriate.

Recruiting & Training Support: Assist with screening and interviewing Legal Assistant candidates and participate in ongoing training and development initiatives.

Process Improvement & Collaboration: Identify opportunities to improve workflows and efficiency while collaborating closely with attorneys, Legal Assistants, and leadership.
Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of Legal Assistant experience and 2β3 years of supervisory or management experience. The 5-year requirement may be waived for candidates with paralegal experience and significant personal injury litigation experience.

Prior experience supporting U.S. personal injury attorneys strongly preferred.

Experience in both pre-litigation and litigation personal injury matters.

Strong understanding of legal terminology, case management, and legal procedures.

Proven leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office.

Ability to work independently and effectively with a remote, U.S.-based team.
