[Hiring] Associate Legal Counsel, Product & Privacy, Ads @Life360

Role Description

We are seeking an Associate Legal Counsel, Product & Privacy, Ads with experience in advising ad-tech companies to join our expanding legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with teams across Life360 to advise on product development and privacy matters related to our advertising business.

• Counsel product, engineering, and marketing teams on privacy, consumer protection, and content regulation matters in the ad-tech space.
• Act as the primary legal point of contact on such matters for Ad Sales and Ads Product Managers.
• Report to the Deputy General Counsel for Product & Privacy, and collaborate closely with other horizontal cross-functional teams, such as Marketing, Comms, and the Infrastructure team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience in product counseling and privacy counseling in the ad-tech space.
• Experience directly advising software product managers and engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar.
• CIPP/US certification preferred.

Requirements

• Advise ads engineering and product teams on legal and regulatory issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Provide counsel on privacy and data protection matters related to ad tech, ensuring compliance with regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA.
• Advise on content regulation matters, including ads content policies and enforcement.
• Advise on marketing matters related to the B2B ads business.
• Monitor and provide guidance on evolving international privacy, consumer protection, and technology regulations in the ad-tech space.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies.
