Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and innovative attorney with expertise and a strong track record of enabling product development and negotiating strategic commercial partnerships in the financial services and/or healthcare fields. The Associate General Counsel, Product and Growth is responsible for our legal strategy and enabling the companyโs compliant execution of its product and growth strategies as we develop new products and services, key strategic commercial partnerships, and other areas of innovation and growth.

Provide strategic guidance to develop and bring to market new products and services ensuring regulatory compliance, IP protection, and risk mitigation.

Navigate multiple regulatory frameworks and apply them in new or novel settings.

Serve as a trusted advisor to enable the company to navigate innovative product and service offerings and partnerships.

Deliver practical, business-oriented legal guidance to apply applicable laws, regulations, policies, and best practices to new products and services.

Partner with business leaders in technology, product, service delivery, and marketing teams to anticipate needs, craft agile governance frameworks, and align risk management with growth priorities.

Address unique legal issues at the intersection of employee benefits, healthcare, and financial services.
Qualifications
-
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with an active license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

10+ years of experience advising on product development in regulated industries at a top law firm or with a combination of applicable in-house legal work.

Experience advising all levels of management, including C-suite executives, and board members on new product development and strategic partnerships.

Experience advising on new products and services within the banking/finance and healthcare industries.

Experience in regulated industries and data privacy regulatory compliance.

Experience in marketplaces.

Expertise in UDAP, financial regulations, ERISA welfare benefit plans, HSAs and other consumer-directed benefits, GLBA, and HIPAA.
