[Hiring] Assistant Director, Legal Transformation & Enablement @Telix Pharmaceuticals (AMER)

YDay - Telix Pharmaceuticals (AMER) is hiring a remote Assistant Director, Legal Transformation & Enablement. πŸ’Έ Salary: unspecified πŸ“Location: USA

Role Description

The Assistant Director, Legal Transformation & Enablement leads Telix's legal operations, technology enablement, process optimization, and contracting infrastructure function. This role serves as the strategic bridge between Telix Legal & Compliance and enterprise functions β€” translating legal and business requirements into scalable systems, workflows, and data-driven processes that enable the department to operate at scale while reducing reliance on external counsel.

This role is the legal function’s transformation lead: part lawyer or legal-operations expert, part systems architect, part change leader. It owns the operating model that allows a lean global legal department to scale, reduce external counsel reliance, and improve business-partner experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own the legal front door, intake/routing, matter management, contract playbooks, template libraries, knowledge management, and business self-service tools for the Legal & Compliance function.
  • Lead AI-enabled legal workflows and agent design and management, approved prompt libraries, and artificial intelligence-assisted contract review/drafting with appropriate human oversight and privacy/security controls.
  • Partner with Information Technology and enterprise technology teams to translate legal operations requirements into system specifications, user stories, workflows, and integration requirements for Contract Lifecycle Management and adjacent legal technology platforms.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology and vendors through the full technology delivery lifecycle β€” requirements gathering, design, testing/user acceptance testing, and production rollout.
  • Own and mature the department's legal operations metrics and key performance indicator reporting.
  • Implement and manage e-billing, matter taxonomy, outside counsel guidelines, spend reporting, and budget forecasting for legal technology and enablement initiatives.
  • Lead structured change management and organizational adoption programs for new legal processes and technology.
  • Build and maintain scalable contracting infrastructure: playbooks, escalation matrices, fallback positions, and legal front-door processes for high-volume commercial and procurement contracting.
  • Manage vendor relationships and budgets for legal technology and enablement tools.
  • Manage and develop the Legal Operations Specialist, United States, and coordinate with the Legal Governance & Operations Specialist, Australia.
  • Partner with Procurement, Information Technology, Finance, Commercial Operations, and business stakeholders to improve contracting throughput, cycle-time, and governance.
  • Work closely with Finance and Group General Counsel to maintain legal budget.
  • Support contract negotiation and commercial contracting for procurement and operational matters as needed.
  • Own the legal enablement strategy, including playbooks, templates, intake/routing, knowledge management, systems administration, self-service tools, and cross-functional process improvement.
  • Define adoption benchmarks, stakeholder feedback loops, and change-management plans.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of combined legal practice and/or legal operations leadership experience; strong legal process and technology experience required.
  • Prior in-house experience at a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or healthcare company strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with Contract Lifecycle Management platform architecture and integrations with enterprise systems.
  • Experience collaborating with Information Technology teams through the full software/technology development lifecycle for legal technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with e-billing systems, AI/legal technology tools, Microsoft 365/SharePoint, and process/change management.
  • People management experience required; project management certification (PMP, Agile/Scrum) or experience a plus.
  • Some direct experience negotiating or reviewing enterprise-level commercial agreements preferred.
  • Budget/forecasting experience for technology or operations initiatives preferred.

Key Capabilities

  • Commitment to excellence: Take pride in your work and consistently strive for excellence in everything you do.
  • Results-oriented: Driven to achieve goals and objectives, with a strong focus on delivering measurable results.
  • Creativity and innovation: Possess a willingness to think outside the box and come up with unique and creative solutions to challenges.
  • Strong communication skills: Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, actively sharing knowledge and expertise to achieve common goals.
  • Resilience: Demonstrate the ability to bounce back from setbacks and persevere in the face of challenges.
  • Inclusive mindset: Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation for diversity.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, able to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Ethical behavior: Act with integrity and demonstrate a commitment to ethical behavior.
  • Continuous learning: Show a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Benefits

  • Competitive salaries.
  • Annual performance-based bonuses.
  • Equity-based incentive program.
  • Generous vacation and paid wellness days.
  • Support for learning and development.
