We rely on our Porch IT systems to help our business reach and succeed with consumers all over the United States. We’re seeking a senior systems administrator with deep technical expertise who’s ready to take ownership of critical infrastructure decisions and mentor other members of the IT team.

In this role, the successful individual will:

• Protect our critical information, systems, and assets.
• Architect and build scalable solutions.
• Drive the evaluation and implementation of new software and hardware.
• Mentor junior and mid-level IT staff.
• Help shape our overall IT strategy and roadmap.
• Independently lead high-visibility initiatives.
• Exercise sound judgment on complex technical trade-offs.
• Serve as an escalation point and subject-matter expert for the broader team.

Qualifications

• IT related Bachelor's degree or related on-the-job experience.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., AWS/GCP, CompTIA, Microsoft) preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant enterprise IT operations experience, including significant time at a Level 3+ or lead capacity, preferably in a high-growth, dynamic SaaS environment.
• Must have strong English communication skills both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail, dependability, cooperation, integrity, and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Experience with Azure and GCP.
• Experience administering Okta or a comparable identity and access management (IAM/SSO) platform.
• Proven experience maintaining enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud solutions.
• Experience of maintaining and patching Windows, Linux and Apple operating systems.
• Experience of maintaining and patching SQL databases.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, mentor, and influence behaviors.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
• Strong hands-on experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude or Microsoft Copilot.
• Experience working with global and/or US based business teams.

Requirements

• Own and continuously improve essential IT operations.
• Lead technical projects, architect solutions, and take end-to-end accountability for key workstreams.
• Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems.
• Maintain technical documentation and work with auditors.
• Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking.
• Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status.
• Own cloud architecture health and performance (Azure, GCP).
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements.
• Administer Okta identity and access management.
• Serve as the primary Level 3/4 escalation point for the help desk.
• Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems.
• Adhere to and help enforce SOX IT general controls.
• Scripting and automation to help eliminate repetitive work.
• Evaluate vendors and technology investments.
• Collaborate with others to resolve information technology issues.
• Perform other IT related duties or projects, as assigned.

Benefits

• Pay Range: COP 7,850,000.00 to COP 10,475,000.00 salary per month.
