Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer - CONUS to join our team supporting a government customer.

The Senior Network Engineer for CONUS region supports the medical mission of the DoD and ensures that the highly complex and technical requirements related to the infrastructure are addressed. Responsibilities include:

• Identifying and resolving larger, more complex LAN/WLAN/WAN network problems and issues.
• Researching network-level problems using network management tools.
• Providing high-level installation, configuration, documentation, management, and troubleshooting of LAN/WLAN/WAN communication equipment for all DHA networked facilities.
• Serving as the premier Network Specialist for this contract and subject matter expert for all related issues.
• Advising and consulting with government staff, agencies, and other contractor representatives on LAN/WLAN/WAN design, implementation, and management.
• Resolving technical issues associated with network and routing protocols at all levels of the OSI model.
• Establishing and configuring network firewalls, VPN devices, and IDSs.
• Communicating with key customers on the status of all network support requests.
• Leading/participating on other projects and support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, Engineering, technical degree, or related discipline.
• Five (5) years of directly related experience, or successful completion of a certified Technical or Vocational School and 10 years of directly related experience.
• Experience with DoD Health Care Information Systems.
• Expertise in Windows networks, Cisco Systems, and Orion SolarWinds.
• Experience with Zero Trust Architectures and Methodologies is desired.

Requirements

• DOD 8570 IAM III Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• Clearance: Secret.
