Role Description

The Sr. Manager of IT leads a geographically distributed IT team covering:

• Network
• Security
• Application configuration and support
• Incident response
• Installation and upgrade support for applications
• Data centers
• Azure hosting facilities

The Director is more than a management role, requiring a hands-on approach to deliver daily IT project and support activities, and to identify and drive innovation to execute more efficiently, securely, and timely. The role also leads its involvement in due diligence and technical integration as the business grows through acquisition. At the same time, the Director owns the team's mission and roadmap, including:

• Setting daily and longer-term priorities
• Managing budget and vendor relationships
• Creating a productive team culture within IT and more broadly inside the business as IT is a corporate shared service

Qualifications

• Technically strong and hands-on, with credibility as a technical innovator
• Embraces understanding technology, old and new, at a detailed level
• Leads the team by example, working side by side with team members
• Capable of making decisive tradeoff decisions between competing priorities
• Represents the IT organization's perspective on technical activities across the business

Requirements

• 3 to 10 years of progressive IT experience, including hands-on infrastructure, SRE, or application management work
• Demonstrated hands-on experience managing hybrid environments (cloud and legacy on-premise)
• Leadership in cybersecurity management & response, and corporate governance activities
• Working knowledge of network administration, security operations, and incident response
• Experience in forecasting and managing IT budgets, software licensing
• Strong data-driven decision-making habits
• Experience performing M&A due diligence, integration planning, and leading technical integration
• Strong written and visual communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
