Role Description

The role involves managing and responding to security vulnerabilities, ensuring the organization's security posture is maintained and improved.

• Ability to validate, judge severity and business impact of security vulnerabilities.
• Responsible for maintaining and improving the security posture by identifying, scoping and prioritizing remediation of vulnerabilities across the organization.
• Provide technical guidance for resolution of reported vulnerabilities on various environments.
• Prepare summary reports that are compiled from newly discovered and existing vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategize and prioritize remediation work.
• Monitor and track remediation work.
• Identify and improve automation efforts to the current process.
• Participate in response efforts related to vulnerability management.
• Provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Create reports for tracking progress updates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in information security with a focus on emergency response, security engineering, or vulnerability management.
• Hands-on experience triaging, validating and responding to security vulnerabilities and 0-day issues, including issues under embargo.
• Excellent knowledge about common security vulnerabilities.
• Experience in network, systems, web and infrastructure security.
• Strong knowledge of macOS, Linux, or Windows operating systems and distributed systems design.
• Very good understanding of 3rd party cloud and container security, components and strategies.
• Ability to analyze endpoint, network, and application logs at scale (e.g., Splunk, OSQuery).
• Experience with threat modeling, business impact analysis, CVE analysis, and prioritization.
• Scripting (Python, Go and/or bash) or software development experience.
• Ability to track and manage multiple parallel vulnerability management activities.
• Good communication skills and high standard of ethics.
