Role Description

This position requires the candidate to act as a technical facilitator for online Zoom sessions. The initial commitment is approximately 12 hours for the entire contract. Additional work may be offered depending on student availability and skill set, with hours varying from 0 to 10 per week. Please note that additional hours are not guaranteed.

• Act as technical facilitator (host) for Zoom workshops and large classrooms
• Act as a resource person
• Save Zoom reports and recordings
• Consult and work with Course Administrators and Course Directors

Must be available on the following dates:

• Wed., Jan. 13, 13:00-15:45
• Wed., Jan. 13, 15:45-18:15
• Fri., Jan. 22, 13:00-15:45
• Fri., Jan. 22, 15:45-18:15

Qualifications

• Undergrad, Graduate or Post Graduate
• Experience hosting Zoom sessions

Requirements

• All work is done remotely; candidates must have a quiet setting to work from.
• Access to a computer with a reliable, high-speed internet connection and microphone.
• Possibility of working in the IPE office if a suitable workspace or computer is unavailable.
• Strong knowledge of Zoom including managing breakout rooms, admitting participants, tracking attendance, assigning participants, managing chat, posting files.
• Reliable.
• Must be able to work in Quebec.
• French an asset.
• Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day-to-day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #3 on a scale of 0-4.
