[Hiring] Internal IT Support Engineer II @Harbor IT

Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Level 2/3 Internal IT Support Engineer to join our global IT team. This role focuses on advanced endpoint setup, remote troubleshooting, and platform optimization, particularly during user migrations and company transitions as we integrate acquired companies' systems and teams into Harbor IT. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Entra Domain Join, Intune device management, profile migrations, RMM tools, and security platforms, with a strong ability to support users remotely across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Endpoint Configuration & Migration Support
  • Set up and configure machines using Entra Domain Join for secure identity and access management.
  • Deploy and manage Intune policies for device compliance, application deployment, and security enforcement.
  • Perform user profile migrations during onboarding/offboarding and company transitions.
  • Ensure seamless data transfer and system continuity during user migrations.
  • Shipping and setup of laptops and machine peripherals.
• Remote Troubleshooting & Technical Support
  • Provide Tier 2–3 remote support for hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, Linux & macOS.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to device enrollment, policy application, and user access.
  • Collaborate with users to resolve migration-related challenges and ensure a smooth transition experience.
  • Evaluate existing procedures and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Platform Engineering & RMM Management
  • Monitor and maintain endpoint health using Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools such as Datto, N-Able, or ConnectWise.
  • Apply patches, updates, and security configurations to maintain platform stability and compliance.
  • Document system configurations, migration procedures, and troubleshooting workflows.
• Security & Compliance
  • Implement and manage security protocols using Microsoft Security Center and other endpoint protection tools.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
  • Support identity and access controls across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• System Integration
  • Gather supporting materials for analysis for targeting data, profiles and systems to be migrated during integration sprints.
  • Utilize existing tools and develop new tools to streamline migration of various tools such as RMM, Documentation Management and BCDR.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Level 2–3 IT support roles, particularly in MSP or enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency in:
  • Entra ID (Azure AD) Domain Join
  • Microsoft Intune: device management, compliance, app deployment, and mobile device management (MDM)
  • Profile migration tools and techniques
  • RMM platforms (Datto, N-Able, ConnectWise)
  • Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive
  • Microsoft Security Center and basic Azure administration
  • Scripting and automation experience, including PowerShell and Python
  • Excellent remote troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certifications (e.g., MS-900, MD-102, AZ-900, SC-900)
• Experience supporting user migrations during company transitions.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and service desk workflows.
• Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
