Role Description

Join a dynamic aerospace and defense leader as an Information Technology - Systems Support Specialist. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for manufacturing execution (MES) and shop floor management (SAP SFM) systems, ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality production operations in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. This role offers direct impact on production performance, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities for professional advancement in advanced manufacturing technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver real-time production support for MES and SAP SFM modules to maximize shop floor uptime and system reliability
• Isolate and resolve complex production anomalies using systematic troubleshooting methodologies
• Lead or participate in root cause analysis (RCA) sessions for downtime, quality issues, and system/data discrepancies, ensuring full documentation and regulatory compliance
• Assist with system configuration, upgrades, patches, and workflow optimizations to support evolving production and engineering requirements
• Ensure data integrity across production transactions, labor reporting, material consumption, and traceability; generate and validate operational reports for management
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality assurance, and IT teams to close process gaps and drive continuous improvement
• Provide training and user support for MES/SAP SFM interfaces, ensuring adherence to standardized processes and data protocols

Qualifications

• 10 years proven experience supporting MES platforms and SAP SFM/ERP modules in manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing data models, shop floor signaling, work order management, and material traceability
• Proficient in SQL, Python or VBA scripting, and data visualization tools for diagnostics and reporting
• Experience with integration frameworks connecting MES to PLCs, ERP, and MOM systems
• Deep understanding of compliance and data integrity within regulated environments

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Siemens Opcenter, Honeywell Field Process, or aerospace/defense-integrated MES variants
• Familiarity with ITAR, AS9100, CMM, and POAM requirements
