[Hiring] Firewall & Network Security Engineer @Skaylink

Role Description

Ready to design and deliver secure network solutions? Join Skaylink, part of Vodafone, and take ownership of network security projects end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to optimization and customer consulting using leading firewall and security technologies. This role is remote within Romania. If you are based in Cluj-Napoca, you can also choose a hybrid setup and work from our office.

• Design and implement enterprise firewall and network security solutions.
• Deliver security projects end-to-end, from requirements and architecture through implementation and handover.
• Configure and optimize firewall policies, rules, NAT, VPNs, and security configurations.
• Work with Fortinet and Cisco security technologies across enterprise environments.
• Analyze complex security incidents, investigate logs, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Act as a technical consultant for customers and collaborate with infrastructure teams on security improvements.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on experience in network security or a similar role.
• Strong enterprise firewall and network security experience.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet and/or Cisco security solutions.
• Experience delivering security projects end-to-end.
• Strong troubleshooting, security analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer-facing and consulting skills.
• Fluency in English and German.

Requirements

• Fortinet certifications (NSE/FCP) - Nice to have.
• VPN experience - Nice to have.
• Security monitoring experience - Nice to have.
