[Hiring] Director, Infrastructure Platform Services @Dexcom

Role Description

The Director of Infrastructure Platform Services will build and lead a high-performing platform engineering organization that delivers reliable, secure, and measurable infrastructure platforms through strong engineering leadership, operating discipline, and technical excellence. This position owns the strategy, design, execution, and operational management of Dexcom's cloud, AI, network, systems, and core services platforms, delivered as a portfolio of services with defined SLAs and customer feedback mechanisms.

• Formulate a unified vision for IT infrastructure platforms.
• Establish a service and technology roadmap that meets growing demand.
• Execute the roadmap with defined SLAs and measurable customer outcomes across AMER, EMEA, and APAC.
• Establish end-to-end global service ownership and define target service maturity levels.
• Continuously evolve services through customer feedback, performance metrics, and service roadmaps.
• Lead systems reliability engineering across all infrastructure platforms.
• Consolidate enterprise AI platform ownership under a single accountable model.
• Drive automation and AI across infrastructure platform operations.
• Resource and drive the identity and access management program.
• Assemble, lead, and develop a team of strong engineering leaders.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in computer science/engineering, information technology, or technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 12+ years of experience in the IT or engineering fields; 8+ years in a leadership role; 4+ years leading an infrastructure team or functional area.
• Deep, current technical knowledge across cloud platforms, networks, systems, and identity.
• Experience in building or leading a systems reliability engineering practice.
• Track record of leading enterprise AI platform adoption.
• Experience driving automation, including infrastructure as code and configuration management.
• Strong management operating system and comfort delivering results using Agile methodologies.
• Ability to operate in a matrixed environment and manage a global team.

Requirements

• Command of service level objectives, error budgets, observability, and incident and problem management.
• Ability to design service offerings with defined SLAs and customer feedback mechanisms.
• Experience in communicating and collaborating effectively with a complex, global customer base.
