Role Description

Stevens is seeking a Technical Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruitment for software engineering roles during this period of growth. These hires will support both Stevens-led project teams and staff augmentation engagements in which engineers are placed directly with client teams, often on accelerated timelines.

• Partner with Stevens leadership and delivery leads to define hiring needs.
• Build qualified candidate pipelines.
• Manage candidates from initial outreach through offer.
• Deliver qualified candidates quickly while maintaining a high hiring standard.
• Contractors set their own schedule and methods and may continue to work with other clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for software engineering roles from mid-level through technical lead, spanning frontend, backend, full-stack, mobile, and cloud.
• Source and engage passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing channels.
• Deliver qualified shortlists on accelerated timelines for time-sensitive client needs.
• Partner with delivery leads to define role requirements, calibrate candidate profiles, and ensure timely interview feedback.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the process.
• Support offer discussions and closing.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and pipeline activity in Ashby.
• Provide a professional, responsive candidate experience that reflects well on Stevens.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a focus on software engineering roles.
• Experience managing multiple engineering searches at once.
• Solid technical fluency, with the ability to assess engineering candidates and hold credible conversations with experienced engineers.
• Strong sourcing skills, including experience with LinkedIn Recruiter or similar tools.
• Ability to work on tight timelines without compromising quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at an agency, consultancy, or staffing firm.
• Experience recruiting for government programs or candidates holding security clearances.

Engagement and Compensation

• This role is an independent contractor engagement, either corp-to-corp through your own LLC or corporation or as a 1099 contractor.
• Open only to contractors who reside and perform their work in the United States throughout the engagement.
• Initial engagement: Two months, with the option to extend.
• Contract rate: $40–$60 per hour, based on experience.
• Tools: Stevens provides access to Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting tools required for the engagement.
• Contractors record hours in Stevens’ time-tracking system, and payments are processed every two weeks through our contractor payroll platform.
• Selected candidates will also be required to complete a criminal background screening and identity verification.
