Role Description

The Senior SAP Functional Consultant (Hire to Retire) leads the analysis, design, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Hire to Retire (H2R) business processes for federal clients. This role serves as the functional expert for the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through payroll, benefits, and final separation.

• Owns system analysis, end-to-end configuration, and cross-functional integration for the H2R workstream.
• Ensures workforce data flows seamlessly between SAP SuccessFactors and S/4HANA Finance while maintaining compliance with federal personnel regulations and labor distribution requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 7 years without a Bachelor's degree.
• Extensive functional experience in SAP SuccessFactors or SAP HCM.
• Deep understanding of integration points between cloud HR solutions and SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Proven experience with Payroll and Time Management in complex, highly regulated environments.
• Strong integration knowledge between H2R and Budget to Report (B2R) processes.
• Proficiency in business process analysis.
• Technical literacy, including troubleshooting CPI integration errors and configuring complex business rules.
• Familiarity with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) standards and federal labor laws.
• Excellent communication skills.
• SAP certification in SuccessFactors Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, or SAP HCM.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active government clearance.

• Performs hands-on configuration of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
• Ensures payroll and time entries interface correctly with Funds Management and Cost Center Accounting.
• Integrates H2R processes with Budget to Report processes.
• Designs solutions supporting federal personnel mandates.
• Partners with developers and integration architects for SAP Cloud Platform Integration flows.
• Troubleshoots CPI integration errors and SuccessFactors data model issues.
• Leads the migration of sensitive personnel data while protecting PII.
• Writes and executes comprehensive test plans.
• Deploys SAP Fiori and SuccessFactors Mobile apps.
• Serves as the bridge among Human Resources, Finance, and IT stakeholders.
• Provides functional guidance and informal mentoring to team members.
• Adheres to all certified processes for quality and information security.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned by direct supervisor.
