Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Recruiter, Technical to build the talent engine behind a category-defining AI company. You'll own end-to-end hiring across our most critical engineering roles β€” from AI/ML researchers and senior infra engineers to fullstack ICs and engineering leadership.

This is a rare seat for a recruiter who thinks like a builder:

  • Someone who shows up with a deep network in frontier AI and high-growth startup engineering talent.
  • Can identify the right candidate before the rest of the market does.
  • Treats recruiting like a sales function β€” except the pipeline is people.

You'll partner directly with the executive team to shape technical hiring strategy, set the bar for engineering talent across the company, and bring in the people who will scale 1mind from breakout to category leader. You'll also build the recruiting process from the ground up β€” ATS, scorecards, calibration mechanisms, and reporting cadence. The bar is high, the pace is fast, and the work is enormously high leverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for senior technical roles (AI/ML, applied research, infra, fullstack, platform, and engineering leadership).
  • Build and convert pipeline directly from your network β€” not from generic outbound.
  • Partner with the executive team and hiring managers to define role scope, calibrate the bar, and run a tight, high-conviction interview process.
  • Sell candidates on the mission, the product, and the technical depth of the team with the same rigor a top AE sells the platform.
  • Stand up and continuously improve the technical recruiting process β€” ATS hygiene, scorecards, interview kits, calibration sessions, candidate experience, and pipeline reporting.
  • Stay credible in technical conversations across sub-disciplines β€” a rubric for distinguishing strong applied AI/ML engineers from elite ones, not just 'volume sourcer for engineers.'
  • Act as a culture carrier β€” protect the bar and represent 1mind in the broader engineering and AI talent market.

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience with strong outcomes hiring senior engineers, AI/ML researchers, and engineering leaders globally.
  • Demonstrated track record placing senior engineers and AI researchers at frontier labs or rapidly scaling AI-native companies.
  • An active, current network in AI engineering and senior infra circles you can tap on day one.
  • Experience as a first-in or among the first recruiters at an early- or high growth-stage startup β€” you've built recruiting infrastructure (ATS, scorecards, calibration, reporting) from zero.
  • Experience growing engineering teams 5-10x over 1-2 years.
  • Operates like a top GTM hire: pipeline rigor, conviction, urgency, and an obsession with conversion.
  • Deep AI fluency β€” uses modern AI tools daily as a force multiplier and stays credible in technical conversations with the engineers you recruit.

Preferred

  • Past experience hiring at companies that scaled rapidly during their breakout phase.
  • Track record building a technical recruiting function from scratch and scaling it as the company grew.
  • Experience and deep technical network in India.
  • Strong writing instincts β€” your outreach reads like a great founder's, not a generic recruiter sequence.
  • Comfort partnering with GTM teammates and a future GTM recruiting peer to set a unified hiring bar across functions.
