What you will do at Acorns:

  • Own and evolve Acorns’ global compensation and benefits strategy, ensuring alignment with Total Rewards principles, business goals, and our mission-driven culture.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to leadership, using data, market insights, and emerging practices to inform compensation decisions and drive outcomes.
  • Lead end-to-end global compensation programs, including planning, administration, communication, policy design, and equity/stock compensation strategy.
  • Oversee global benefits and Leave of Absence programs, ensuring offerings are competitive, equitable, and aligned with employee needs across markets.
  • Partner closely with HR Operations to optimize Workday, managing and evolving job architecture and compensation frameworks to support scale and consistency.
  • Continuously assess market competitiveness, leveraging surveys and benchmarking to proactively refine total rewards strategy in a dynamic landscape.
  • Manage and develop a Total Rewards team member, providing coaching, mentorship, and hands-on partnership to drive execution.
  • Ensure full compliance across all jurisdictions, maintaining adherence to state, federal, and international compensation and benefits regulations.
  • Manage global immigration programs, partnering with external counsel and internal stakeholders to support visa sponsorship, work authorization, and compliance across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards management, preferably in a global or multinational organization.
  • Deep understanding of equity/stock compensation, job leveling, and advanced data analysis.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully implementing system enhancements (specifically Workday).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to translate complex vision into executable strategy.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience motivating, supporting, and developing team members to meet performance expectations and build their careers.
  • Ability to align company vision and organizational goals with team execution.
  • Commitment to upholding policy and procedures per company standards.
  • Own strategic decision-making and effectively communicate direction to team members.
  • Hunger to deliver game-changing products.
  • Exceptional drive and precision in delivery.
  • A belief that your work is tied to your life's mission.
  • Optimistic about the potential of societal change.

Requirements

  • A comprehensive benefits package for you and your family
  • Flexible work location, hours, and paid time off
  • 401(k) matching
  • Monthly Acorns account contribution & GoHenry account for your family
  • Mindfulness and Financial Wellness resources, Headspace and Addition Wealth
  • Acorns Career Development Program (Ongoing training sessions, development plans, development check-ins, Cornerstone’s online training platform)
