[Hiring] Senior HR Business Partner @Sophos

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Partner to support our managers and employees. You will work closely with the leaders and their managers responsible for business areas in Hungary and the UK, including Engineering, Sales, and Global Functions. The anticipated split between Hungary and the UK will be a 60/40 split.

This role will own the Hungary region from an HR perspective, including:

• Determining necessary HR solutions and delivering proactive value-add HR support.
• Implementing global strategies and ensuring alignment with local policy and procedure.
• Supporting teams to develop and grow their businesses with effective HR advice and coaching.

For the UK, you will take ownership of a specific area of the UK business and work alongside other HRBPs in the UK.

The role is part of a close HR team across EMEA, passionate about driving Sophos’ global HR agenda and providing a value-add service. You will work closely with Global HR Business Partners and business leaders to support the delivery of business outcomes and HR projects and initiatives, providing full cycle HR support in areas such as:

• Employee relations
• Change management
• Talent and performance management

Qualifications

• Experience of UK and Hungary HR processes, policies, and employment legislation.
• Proven experience as a pro-active HR Partner in a changing environment.
• Experienced in HR management of the full employee life cycle and annual cycle HR solutions.
• Able to support change with pragmatic legal and best practice advice.
• Proven experience of managing priorities based on business needs.
• Proven background of delivery in a complex and fast-paced international work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives and activities to successful completion.

Requirements

• Previous experience of working in an international business.
• Ability to participate as a member of a business-wide HR & management team.
• Experience of working in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
• Project management experience.

Skills & Abilities

• HR Degree qualified or equivalent or working towards.
• Sound and current knowledge of Hungary employment law and policies.
• Good knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Highly collaborative with a strong desire to deliver results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hungarian.
• Strong prioritization skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team while being accountable for personal delivery.
• Understanding of commercial drivers.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Design and implementation of policies.
• Excellent time management experience.
• Other European languages and experience of providing services to other EMEA countries are useful but not essential.
