[Hiring] People Operations Specialist @Juno

Role Description

Take end-to-end ownership of people operations in a modern, fast-growing, fully remote law firm. We're looking for someone who can run day-to-day people operations and build them into scalable systems as we grow. You'll be a trusted support for our managers and handle sensitive one-to-one conversations with care, helping Juno stay one of the best places to work in the UK.

About the role:

• Own our core people processes outright and make them scalable.
• Manage new-starter onboarding flows end to end, including issuing contracts and running pre-employment checks.
• Be the first point of contact for managers, resolving issues and escalating when necessary.
• Handle absence and leave administration.
• Conduct sensitive one-to-one conversations with employees confidently and empathetically.
• Own our HR system (Zelt) by configuring workflows and maintaining onboarding and offboarding flows.
• Draft and track routine employee paperwork, such as changes to salary, hours, or role.
• Build templates, workflows, and prompts using AI tools, including Claude.
• Identify automation opportunities and support managers through light-touch training.
• Turn existing data into useful insights for leadership.
• Work closely with our General Counsel, who will also be your line manager.

Qualifications

• Ownership of problems from start to finish.
• Ability to run sensitive conversations with empathy and provide honest feedback.
• Sound judgement on sensitive and confidential issues.
• Experience in using AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to improve operational processes.
• Basic understanding of employment law and experience in a people team is a plus, but not essential.

• This is a hands-on operational role, not a management one.
• Enjoyment of day-to-day operations and shaping a people function from the ground up.
• Willingness to grow with the role as Juno expands.
