[Hiring] People and Culture Manager @Micro:bit Educational Foundation

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced People & Culture Manager to join the team 3 days per week to lead and deliver our people strategies – including culture and engagement, recruitment and onboarding, offboarding, performance management, wellbeing, terms and benefits and compliance with all local laws applicable.

Working within the Operations team you will act as a trusted advisor to the Foundation management team, manage core people processes, and ensure the Micro:bit Educational Foundation continually strives to be an excellent place of work.

This role requires a both strategic and hands-on team member, ensuring that our people practices support our business goals and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture, as well as progress the Foundations goals in terms of equity, diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 or above or equivalent experience
• 5-7+ years in HR or People and Culture roles, with at least 3 years in management or senior advisory capacity.

Requirements

• Develop, maintain, and implement People and Culture strategy.
• Partner with teams to support organisational design, talent planning, and workforce development.
• Support the development and implementation of employment contracts and benefits frameworks.
• Develop and implement best practices across the whole employee lifecycle.
• Oversee end-to-end recruitment, from developing and publishing job postings to onboarding.
• Ensure a smooth and inclusive hiring process.
• Promote a positive company culture through recognition programs and engagement surveys.
• Lead the People and Culture and organisational development agenda during a period of expansion.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers and team members.
• Lead performance management cycles — goal setting, feedback, and appraisal processes.
• Identify training needs and implement learning programs.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR metrics for reporting and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, data protection, and health & safety standards.
• Manage compensation, benefits, and payroll coordination in partnership with finance.
