[Hiring] Payroll Specialist @Goldbelt

Role Description

Goldbelt, Inc. is in search of a Payroll Specialist. Performs tasks to maintain employee records and pay employees. Duties include:

• Checking and auditing of timecards for compliance
• Reviewing new hire information as it relates to payroll into accounting and payroll systems
• Posting changes in pay and tax status
• Processing routine labor and payrolls for the company’s weekly and bi-weekly multi-state payrolls
• Removing terminated employees from systems
• Downloading standard payroll reports and running custom reports as required

Requirements

• Associate degree or 2-3 years of payroll processing experience
• Ability to pass an employment background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using ADP Workforce Now preferred
• Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense a plus
• Previous experience working with Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs)
• Previous government contracting experience
• ADP Time and Attendance experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper on-boarding of new hires and off-boarding of terminations as it relates to payroll
• Make changes to employees’ records as requested, i.e. taxes, direct deposit, etc.
• Review and audit timekeeping records for compliance
• Load Deltek T&E and ADP timecard data into Costpoint Accounting labor batch and reconcile
• Add additional earnings/allowances in Costpoint as needed
• Load Labor file from Costpoint into ADP to process Payroll and make adjustments as necessary
• Process immediate pays for terminated employees as necessary
• Download and store post ADP payroll reports as needed
• Prepare and post payroll reports such as 401k spreadsheets, net check reports as needed
• Respond to employees' questions regarding timesheet or pay
• Process/adjust leave accruals in Costpoint
• Other duties as assigned
