[Hiring] Non-Tech Sourcing Recruiter @Amazon

Role Description

We need an exceptionally talented Sourcer Recruiter to help us find the best talent in the US market to support our growth. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers. The Recruiter will work with a team of recruiting professionals focusing on finding the best distribution and operations professionals across the country, fostering a collaborative team environment and a strong service-oriented culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality-driven service to internal customers.

Core Responsibilities

• Recruit passive candidates with the mentality to "profile people and gauge chemistry of candidates for fit and understand their motivation" rather than sell a role.
• Build and maintain network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management.
• Conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high offer-to-interview ratios.
• Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company.
• Implement new processes and fine-tune standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
• Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.

Sourcing and Candidate Engagement

• Proactively source passive candidates using Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, X-ray search/Open web and other sourcing channels for remote sites.
• Conduct candidate outreach and engagement to build interest and assess right fit.
• Filter the right candidates during recruiter phone screen.

Screening and Evaluation

• Conduct on-phone and virtual candidate screening process to assess qualification and skill alignment.
• Use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, X-ray search/Open web, GitHub and other sourcing tools.

Must-Have Skills

• Boolean and Advanced Search: Create targeted Boolean strings to identify candidates with niche technical skills across LinkedIn, X-ray search/Open web, GitHub, trade forums and specialized job boards.
• Candidate Engagement for Passive Talent: Skilled at requirement gathering, sourcing and screening candidates in specialized technical fields.
• Articulate role-based value proposition to the candidate.
• Build strategies and brainstorm to create efficient and creative sourcing solutions for stakeholders.

• Market Intelligence: Understand the talent market to source the right talent from targeted organizations.

Location & Timing

• Locations: Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Gurgaon (Remote role).
• Timing: 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM IST.

A day in the life

• Proven ability and sharp on the feet to proactively source passive candidates using Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, X-ray search/ Open web and other sourcing channels for remote sites.
• Experience in conducting candidate outreach and engagement to build interest and assess right fit, with ability to filter the right candidates during recruiter phone screen.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Experience building and driving talent sourcing initiatives and pipelines.
• Experience executing recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level.
• 2+ years of progressive corporate or search firm recruiting work with a focus on passive engineering candidate generation in a high tech market experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience, or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
