[Hiring] Manager, Employee Relations & Leave Manager @Vetcor

Role Description

You'll lead employee relations and leave of absence programs for a large, multi-site veterinary organization, partnering closely with hospital leaders, HR, and legal to navigate workplace concerns, complex employee situations, and leave needs with consistency and care.

• Supporting veterinary hospitals with employee relations guidance, investigations, and resolution of workplace concerns
• Overseeing leave of absence and accommodation programs (FMLA, ADA, state leaves, and more)
• Ensuring fairness, compliance, and consistency across diverse hospital environments
• Partnering with leaders who are often focused on clinical care — helping them navigate people-related challenges
• Identifying trends and proactively improving the employee experience across clinics

Qualifications

• Strong HR background with deep employee relations and leave management experience
• Confidence working in complex, multi-site environments (veterinary strongly preferred)
• Experience handling sensitive workplace issues with fairness and empathy
• Strong knowledge of employment law (FMLA, ADA, etc.)
• Ability to partner with leaders who are not HR experts but deeply care about their teams
• A calm, practical approach to problem-solving in fast-moving environments
