Role Description

The Lead HR Operations Specialist is the most senior individual contributor on the HR Ops team at their location. You own HR Ops for a complex, high-growth environment and you do it with full autonomy, clear judgment, and a genuine drive to build something better than what you inherited.

  • Identifying gaps, designing solutions, influencing stakeholders, and ensuring HR Ops processes scale alongside a fast-growing business.
  • Broad stakeholder map: HRBPs, business leaders, Payroll, Legal, People Systems, EHS, and HR Ops peers across locations.
  • Expected to be a connector as much as an executor.
  • Accountable for ensuring operational infrastructure is rigorous, compliant, and fit for scale.
  • Opportunity to lead global or team-wide HR Ops initiatives.
  • Particularly suited to environments with data centers or mission-critical physical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Operations and Employee Lifecycle:
    • Own and execute the full employee lifecycle for your location with full autonomy.
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for all HR Ops issues; resolve them with speed and accuracy.
    • Lead onboarding and offboarding for both office and data center personnel.
    • Support onboarding of new HR Ops team members.
    • Partner with HRBPs, Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Immigration, and Legal.
    • Lead complex or high-visibility HR Ops projects.
    • Define, document, and continuously improve team standards and best practices.
  • HRIS and Data Integrity:
    • Own data quality, governance, and integrity for your location in HiBob.
    • Lead the automation and AI agenda for your location.
    • Act as the operational subject matter expert for new system implementations.
    • Partner with the People Systems team to translate operational needs into scalable solutions.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all employee files and documentation are complete and compliant.
    • Maintain knowledge of employment law in your location.
    • Proactively identify compliance risks and bring solutions.
    • Deploy, review, and maintain HR Ops policies and process guides.
    • Support travel program administration via Navan.
  • Data Center and EHS:
    • Own HR Ops for data center employees.
    • Collaborate with EHS to ensure HR Ops processes support compliance requirements.
    • Maintain knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, or local equivalent safety standards.
    • Ensure incident documentation and safety training records are accurate and audit-ready.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of progressive HR Operations experience.
  • Deep proficiency with HiBob or equivalent HRIS platforms.
  • Experience managing multi-country or cross-jurisdictional HR Ops and compliance.
  • Experience in data center or mission-critical physical infrastructure environments.
  • Proven track record of implementing automations and process improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment.
  • Full professional English fluency, written and verbal.

Requirements

  • Direct experience with EHS requirements and how they intersect with HR Ops.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, ISO 45001, or equivalent safety standards.
  • Experience supporting HR Ops in shift-based or 24/7 operational environments.
  • Experience navigating union relations or works council obligations.
  • Additional language capability relevant to the location.
