[Hiring] Human Resource Generalist @AST SpaceMobile

Role Description

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Human Resource Generalist who will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including:

• Hiring and interviewing staff
• Administering pay, benefits, and leave
• Enforcing company policies and practices

What you’ll do:

• Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
• Enter recruiting requisitions and assist in scheduling interviews; facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
• Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications through the HRIS System.
• Assist in performing orientation classes for new hires.
• Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to:
• Compensation, benefits, and leave
• Disciplinary matters
• Disputes and investigations
• Performance and talent management
• Productivity, recognition, and morale
• Occupational health and safety
• Training and development
• Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
• Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• One to three years of human resource experience preferred.
• SHRM-CP preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Green card holder or have a legal US work permit.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk and using a computer.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or carry items up to 15 pounds as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to perform repetitive and precision tasks.
• Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as required to perform job duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing.
• Ability to work in, on, around, and in proximity to large structures, equipment, and tooling.
• Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
• Ability to work in and around tight or confined spaces.
• Ability to type up to 8-12 hours per day.
• Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and/or hazardous materials (e.g., carbon fiber).
