Role Description

Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful candidate will assist with employee relations, investigations, disciplinary action, and onboarding.

• Serve as HR Business Partner to Project leadership.
• Provide human resources services, including records management, AA/EEO compliance, and completing personnel transactions.
• Maintain HR records and employee files in accordance with compliance regulations and policies.
• Work closely with payroll and other departments, exercising discretion while working with highly confidential information.
• Coordinate with HR leadership and Operations to troubleshoot and provide coaching and consultation in the areas of employee relations and performance management.
• Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending courses of action.
• Assist the workforce with identifying employee concerns, clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions, and implementing selected solutions.
• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Assist with the onboarding of new employees.
• Conduct voluntary and involuntary exit meetings in conjunction with Project Leadership.
• Handle assignments and support the Project as needed.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends to monitor day shift and night shift employees as business needs require.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HR Generalist.
• Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
• Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
• Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Aptitude in problem-solving.
• Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources or related field.

Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) - preferred.
• Experience with HRIS systems (e.g. Costpoint) - preferred.
• PHR/SPHR Certified - preferred.
