Role Description

The HR Benefits Coordinator I provides foundational administrative and customer service support to the Benefits Team. This entry-level role focuses on transactional processing, employee assistance, and learning benefits operations under close supervision.

Job Duties

• Respond to routine employee inquiries via InfoBenefits inbox and HR Hotline
• Assist with benefits enrollments for new hires and annual open enrollment
• Process basic life events, carrier enrollments, and terminations (Admin & Caregiver)
• Perform data entry and routine audits in Workday and vendor systems
• Assist with 401(k) enrollments and basic Fidelity tasks
• Process Leave Donations, Leave Donation Requests, and Anniversary PTO rewards
• Assist with Medical Support Orders and Medicare Part B forms
• Support filing and documentation in SharePoint and HR systems
• Run standard reports and assist with billing allocations
• Prepare KPI metrics and deliver monthly benefits presentations in HR meetings
• Update and maintain SOPs and process documentation
• Assist with benefits training sessions and webinars
• Support weekly administrative tasks (new hires, terminations, caregiver reporting)
• Provide administrative support during Open Enrollment

Qualifications

• 0–2 years HR, administrative, or customer service experience
• Basic knowledge of employee benefits preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn HRIS systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbal and written

• The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties
