Role Description

The HR Administration & Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing and continuously improving the Company’s HR administrative processes and employment compliance programs. This position ensures recruiting, onboarding, and workforce administration activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws.

This position provides leadership to the recruiting team while partnering closely with the Director of Human Resources to develop scalable HR processes that support the entire employee lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to help shape and strengthen the Company’s HR operations as the department continues to grow and evolve, with responsibilities expanding to include additional HR compliance programs and operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • HR Administration & Compliance:
    • Develop, implement, and improve HR processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies throughout the employee lifecycle.
    • Oversee employment documentation, personnel records, and HR audits.
    • Maintain HR forms, job descriptions, policies, and related documentation.
    • Monitor regulatory changes and recommend process improvements.
  • Recruiting Operations:
    • Provide day-to-day leadership and support for the recruiting team.
    • Ensure recruiting, onboarding, background checks, drug testing, E-Verify, and I-9 processes are completed accurately and timely.
    • Partner with hiring managers and recruiters to improve hiring efficiency and candidate experience.
    • Assist with recruiting activities for key or difficult-to-fill positions as business needs require.
    • Develop recruiting metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • HR Programs:
    • Assist in administering leave programs, workers’ compensation, and other HR compliance initiatives.
    • Coordinate compliance-related training and employee acknowledgments.
    • Support HR projects focused on improving operational effectiveness and reducing organizational risk.
    • Generate reports, analyze trends, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employment compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, improve, and document HR processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Working knowledge of I-9, E-Verify, background screening, and employment documentation requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and manage multiple priorities.

Requirements

  • Multi-state Human Resources experience.
  • Experience administering leave programs and/or workers’ compensation.
  • HRIS experience.

Work Environment

  • This is a fully remote position. Company-issued equipment, including a laptop and other required technology, will be provided.
  • Associates are expected to maintain a professional remote work environment with reliable internet access and the ability to perform their job duties effectively and professionally.
  • The position requires extensive computer use along with communication through video conferencing, telephone, email, and other collaboration tools.

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements

  • This position requires flexibility in work schedule based on business needs, which may include extended workdays and occasional work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek.
  • This position does not currently require travel. Should business needs change, occasional travel for training, meetings, or other business-related activities may be required.

Physical Demands

  • Work is performed in a remote office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office technology.
  • The position requires prolonged periods of sitting and using hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment, and effective communication through verbal and written means.
  • The associate may occasionally be required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or carry items weighing up to 15 pounds.
