[Hiring] European Works Council & Labour Relations Transformation Leader @GE Vernova

Role Description

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Labour Relations leader to lead, manage and coordinate project deployment and transformational change, including leadership of the European Works Council across Europe. Reporting to the Head of Labour Relations, Europe, this role has been created to establish and mature GE Vernova's European Labour Relations operating model.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead the day-to-day management of the European Works Council.
• Coordinate closely with National Labour Relations leaders in Germany and France.
• Develop governance, standard work, training and scalable Labour Relations processes across Europe.

This is not simply an operational Labour Relations role. It is a unique opportunity to build the foundations of a best-in-class European Labour Relations function within GE Vernova, a newly independent global energy company with more than 130 years of industrial heritage.

As the Labour Relations organization continues to mature, the scope of the role is expected to broaden, with the successful incumbent progressively assuming wider responsibility for the European Labour Relations agenda and leadership of the European Labour Relations network.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading Labour Relations and Employee Relations within a complex multinational organization.
• Demonstrated experience managing a European Works Council or equivalent transnational employee representative body.
• Strong understanding of European Labour Relations legislation and Information & Consultation requirements.
• Experience leading complex restructuring, transformation and organizational change initiatives.
• Experience partnering across multiple European jurisdictions in a matrix organization.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive influencing skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Willingness to travel within Europe approximately 35%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Law or related discipline.
• Advanced qualifications in Employment Law, Industrial Relations or Human Resources.
• Experience working within manufacturing, industrial, energy or similar unionized environments.
• Experience establishing Labour Relations governance, Centres of Excellence or operating models.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations and large-scale transformation programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives within complex global organizations.
