[Hiring] Director, Recruitment Services @University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences

Role Description

The Director, Recruitment Services, provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the UAMS Recruitment Services function, encompassing both Core and Strategic Recruitment Services teams. This role is accountable for team performance, service quality, workforce planning partnership, and the continuous improvement of recruitment systems, processes, and candidate experience across the institution. The Director partners with senior HR and institutional leadership to align talent acquisition strategy with UAMS's workforce and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
• Eight (8) years of progressive recruiting experience with three (3) years of recruitment leadership experience
• Demonstrated experience managing a full-cycle recruitment function
• In-depth knowledge of laws/regulations related to staffing and recruitment
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Required proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
• Strong data literacy and ability to translate metrics into operational decisions
• Master's degree in HR, Business, or related field (preferred)
• Experience with Workday Recruiting (preferred)
• Background in executive or leadership-level search (preferred)
• Experience recruiting for healthcare or academic medical center environments (preferred)
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification (preferred)
• Knowledge of UAMS or AR state government HR policies (preferred)

Requirements

• Lead, develop, and manage the Recruitment Services team organized into Core and Strategic service tracks
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and service excellence
• Monitor and report team performance metrics to HR leadership
• Establish and own the overall recruitment strategy, service delivery standards, and annual goals for the function
• Serve as the primary escalation point for both service teams and executive-level hiring authority relationships
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and institutional employment laws, regulations, and policies
• Oversee ATS configuration, reporting infrastructure, and technology optimization
• Interact with and assist the public in a professional and friendly manner
