Role Description

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a Candidate Engagement Specialist to drive one of the most critical parts of our hiring process: closing great candidates. This is not a post-and-wait recruiting role. We're looking for someone who knows how to build rapport quickly, read a conversation in real time, and confidently guide candidates from interest to commitment.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Closing & Candidate Conversations
  • Lead candidate conversations and move qualified candidates to offer acceptance.
  • Address questions, navigate hesitations, and communicate BTS's value clearly and authentically.
  • Negotiate compensation, timelines, and details without losing the relationship.
  • Respond quickly when candidates are available - timing matters!
• Interviewing & Evaluation
  • Conduct initial interviews and competency-based assessments.
  • Assess fit, build rapport, and provide clear feedback to the hiring team.
  • Keep candidates moving through the process without unnecessary delays.
• Sourcing & Outreach
  • Engage candidates directly through platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn.
  • Reach out to passive candidates and generate interest in opportunities.
  • Partner with internal teams to prioritize outreach based on hiring needs.
• Candidate Experience
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with candidates at every stage.
  • Deliver both offers and rejections with professionalism and respect.
  • Ensure every candidate leaves the process with a positive impression of BTS.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to close; you can move someone from interested to committed through conversation.
• Strong communication skills and comfort speaking with new people daily.
• Ability to read tone, pick up on hesitation, and adjust your approach in real time.
• Experience navigating compensation conversations and candidate concerns.
• Fast-moving and responsive; you understand that speed matters in hiring.
• Comfortable handling unexpected questions and thinking on your feet.
• Collaborative mindset; you work closely with hiring and pipeline teams.

Requirements

• Experience recruiting in education, healthcare, or school-based services (strongly preferred).
• Background as a school-based provider (SLP, OT, PT, Special Educator, etc.) (strongly preferred).
• Experience with full-cycle recruiting or closing credentialed professionals (strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with ATS systems and candidate pipelines (strongly preferred).
