Role Description

The Benefits Analyst plays a key role in administering comprehensive health and welfare, retirement, and well-being programs across the US and Canada. This includes overseeing:

• Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage (both short- and long-term)
• EAP, behavioral health services, and 401(k) plans

This is a fully remote position working primarily in the east coast time zone. The position demands extensive collaboration both internally and externally while managing intricate administrative workflows. The analyst partners with the Total Rewards Team to:

• Develop program enhancement recommendations
• Conduct benchmarking studies
• Create employee communications
• Coordinate annual renewals and open enrollment periods

Additionally, this role collaborates with HR Business Partners and HR Shared Services to resolve complex employee benefit issues that require specialized attention. The position combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, requiring someone who can navigate detailed processes while maintaining a big-picture perspective on employee benefits strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• A minimum of two years of benefits experience including working with a self-funded medical plan, 401(k) retirement plans, and defined benefit plans

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as human resources or business administration (preferred)
• Experience working with an outsourced benefit administration partner, Workday, and Ceridian Dayforce (highly desirable)
• Ability to collaborate with others and achieve agreed-upon results
• Ability to organize and document administrative processes that involve other internal departments and external service providers
• Outstanding analytical and organizational skills, including intermediate to advanced level Excel skills
• Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to set priorities while working on multiple projects
• Understanding of laws related to benefit programs and dedication to plan compliance
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Strong team orientation and ability to work cross-functionally
