[Hiring] Admissions & Staff Recruitment Manager @National Math Camps

Role Description

As Admissions & Staff Recruitment Manager, you'll get the right people into place — both the students who come to our camps and the staff who make them run. You'll manage hiring for our counselor and faculty-in-training roles (e.g. apprentice faculty) as well as camper admissions.

These two halves of the job are different in character:

• Staff recruitment: Includes direct interaction with candidates and ownership of the full process from advertising the positions through onboarding.
• Camper admissions: More limited in scope, managing the application and decision-making process.

The year has a strong seasonal rhythm:

• Fall: Projects, process design, and preparing for spring.
• Spring: Admissions and hiring run simultaneously, the most demanding stretch of the year.
• Late spring: Shifts toward staff onboarding as decisions wrap up.
• Summer: Either take an on-site camp role or join the HQ support team.

Qualifications

• Strong math background at the bachelor's or master's level.
• Familiarity with the math enrichment ecosystem, and some teaching experience in a math enrichment setting.
• Experience as a student or staff member at a math summer program is strongly preferred.
• Experience with administrative, customer service, or project and people management work.
• Early-career candidates are encouraged to apply; prior full-time work experience is not required.

• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Quick to learn new technology and inclined to look for tools that make workflows less manual.
• Comfortable in a small, growing organization where infrastructure is still being built.
