Role Description

This position is remote with travel required 25-50% within Indy Region. The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for partnering with Clinical Operations leadership to attract, motivate, develop, and retain ABA therapists and center-level managers. This position is responsible for implementing and administering a variety of human resource and employee relations programs, policies, and initiatives.

  • Build and maintain the culture, ensuring a positive experience throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Cultivate relationships with local management and staff.
  • Drive execution of strategies and programs designed to continuously improve the overall employee experience and reduce unhealthy turnover.
  • Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, standards, and government laws/regulations.
  • Oversee the implementation of Human Resources programs, identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations.
  • Support hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
  • Determine and recommend employee relations practices and address employee complaints or concerns.
  • Investigate all manner of issues and promptly address them, balancing employee and business needs.
  • Ensure activities align and integrate with LAC’s requirements for quality management, health and safety, and legal compliance.
  • Treat all information and data with confidentiality and security at all times.
  • Assist with all risk management activities and investigations.
  • Report promptly any suspected or potential violations to laws, regulations, procedures, policies and practices, and cooperate in related investigation.
  • Ensure a safe work environment to prevent occurrences of injuries and/or incidents, providing for the safety and security of staff.
  • Assist with Workers’ Compensation and OSHA reporting, as needed.
  • Strive to continuously improve organization capability by consulting with managers and applying best practice.
  • Provide recommendations to inform culture and employee experience related HR decisions, investments & resource development.
  • Collaborate, build awareness, and drive adoption and advocacy for culture and employee experiences to further employer value proposition and DE&I efforts.
  • Oversee two Human Resource Generalists and their duties while focusing on career path development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business or related field required
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a HRBP or equivalent role
  • Professional certification in HR such as PHR, SPHR, or preferred PIRHA
  • Knowledge and experience in managing human resource programs, processes, procedures while ensuring compliance with government laws/regulations for multiple business locations.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information/situations and documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to influence and interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization exercising sensitivity to the audience.
  • Possesses a positive professional image and a high level of ethical behavior in consistently exercising judgment, discretion and confidentiality in all interactions and matters of significance.
  • Possesses critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Capable of driving change and executing strategic decisions to achieve business results.
  • Possess organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and negotiate and set priorities as required.
  • Ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple or competing projects/deadlines, prioritizing as needed to meet business commitments and objectives.
  • Possesses a high degree of personal accountability and unbiased decision-making.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in all MS Word, Access, Excel, Outlook applications and database management tools required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to travel to Centers between 25 – 50% of the time.
