Role Description

The Global Talent Development leader will partner with the Chief People Officer, HR colleagues and Leadership to ensure top talent and succession in every role. This will be achieved by identifying critical workforce requirements necessary to drive current and future business results, and designing and delivering large-scale talent initiatives that align with the J.S. Held business and HR strategies.

The successful incumbent will lead a team of talent management professionals who are accountable for:

  • Assessment, design, development and delivery of competency-based talent and succession management
  • Learning and development
  • Performance management
  • Organizational development and change management initiatives for leaders, employees, and teams across J.S. Held globally

This individual will report to the Chief People Officer and will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Develop comprehensive Global Talent Development strategy aligned with HR and Business strategies
  • Deliver plan with and through a team of talent management, learning and organizational development professionals
  • Measure and report customer/client satisfaction, participation and ROI of programs

Job Responsibilities

  • Organizational Development:
    • Provide organizational development guidance and support processes for the organization
    • Partner with Chief People Officer, HRBPs, Total Rewards and Leaders to build and maintain effective job architecture and career frameworks
    • Provide engagement/change management support to leadership with key process implementations
  • Learning & Development:
    • Conduct periodic learning needs assessments and create learning and development plans
    • Lead and oversee the entire portfolio of learning solutions that support business objectives
    • Identify and maintain partnerships with external subject matter experts
    • Partner with leaders and HR Business Partners to project manage programs
    • Establish and nurture a community of learning ambassadors from the business
  • Talent & Succession Management:
    • Supports the organization’s succession planning by developing templates, tools and processes
    • Serves as a coach and advisor to all levels of leadership
    • Design high potential talent development programs
  • Performance Management:
    • Maintain and improve performance management process, tools, educational and communication materials
    • Partner with HRBPs, Internal Communications and leaders to develop timelines and implement annual processes
    • Analyze and report on performance management metrics

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in HR or Talent with a minimum of 5 years of leading a team
  • Experienced advisor, coach, and consultant to leaders
  • Experience creating and implementing talent and succession planning processes
  • Experience in creating leadership and business capabilities learning and development programs
  • Experience in developing job architecture frameworks and competency models
  • Experience in organizational development and change management
  • Experience developing and executing performance management processes
  • Able to operate independently with solid decision making skills
  • Strong communication, presentation/facilitation, storyboarding and relationship building skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence
  • Proficient project management skills with attention to detail
  • Professional presence and sensitivity to cultural nuances
  • Professional services industry preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field; Master's or Doctorate degree or MBA preferred
  • Proficient in talent management and learning management systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Requirements

  • Must be comfortable to work in a remote environment
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Must be flexible to work outside of the 8:30am – 5:30pm business hours if needed
  • Must be flexible to travel 10% of the time
