Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials Consultant to design, configure, and optimize our global corporate finance and accounting architectures. The ideal candidate will translate complex corporate ledgers, multi-entity spend management pipelines, and international billing rules into highly secure, automated, and audit-compliant cloud configurations.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain core Workday Financials foundations, including General Ledger, Financial Account Books, Custom Worktags, and Multi-Currency Organization Hierarchies.
• Design and manage spend and revenue pipelines, configuring Supplier Accounts, Customer Billing Schedules, Expense Reports, and Procurement Routing parameters.
• Construct complex Business Process (BP) workflows for finance governance, setting up multi-tier journals, threshold-based spending approvals, and cross-entity clearing approvals.
• Oversee period-end and fiscal year closing configurations, managing automated ledger conversions, reconciliation runs, and foreign currency revaluations.
• Implement secure internal financial data controls, establishing custom conditional sharing policies to isolate confidential ledger views and manage audit trace logging.
• Collaborate with technical integration engineers to map out functional financial data objects, supporting connections with external banks, tax engines, and legacy platforms.
• Lead update validation runs for biannual platform releases, executing functional regression test blocks inside sandboxes to protect general ledger reporting integrity.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of core enterprise financial technology experience.
• 4+ dedicated years actively designing, configuring, and supporting the Workday Financial Management platform.
• Strong technical mastery of Workday Business Process Builder, Financial Account Postings, Custom Worktag inheritance logic, and custom data validation rules.
• Deep structural understanding of corporate accounting practices (GAAP/IFRS), consolidation models, intercompany transaction rules, and tax compliance parameters.
• Mandatory certification: Workday Certified Financials Core.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday Certified Composite Reporting or Prism Analytics certification.
• Prior consulting experience managing large-scale global financial transformations across multi-entity corporations with highly customized accounting footprints.
