Role Description
We’re looking for a hungry, challenge-seeking VP Finance to join our worldwide dream team and shape the next stage of BlueThrone’s growth!
We’re looking for a VP Finance who’s not just a numbers person, but a real business partner. Someone who knows how to build, analyze and lead. You'll own BlueThrone's financial engine end-to-end.
-
FP&A and forecasting
-
The capital that funds our acquisitions
-
Group reporting across multiple jurisdictions
-
The financial logic behind every deal we do
This is a hands-on role working directly with the founders and leadership team. You'll be deep in the detail and you'll be the reason decisions are made on solid financial data rather than instinct.
What You'll Own
-
Strategic Finance & FP&A
-
Build and own the group financial model, budget and rolling forecast.
-
Turn portfolio-level app data into unit economics the leadership team can act on: LTV, payback, cohort profitability, ROAS.
-
Partner with the founders and COO on capital allocation: which apps get investment, which acquisitions clear the bar.
-
Define and report the KPIs that tell us whether the model is working.
-
M&A & Capital
-
Own financial underwriting and due diligence on acquisition targets.
-
Model deal structures and returns to support negotiation and closing.
-
Drive post-close financial integration of acquired apps into the group.
-
Investor Relations & Debt
-
Own relationships with banks and lenders.
-
Structure, refinance and manage debt financing to fund acquisitions.
-
Lead investor board reporting and support future funding processes.
-
Global Operations & Compliance
-
Oversee group consolidation and reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
-
Manage cash flow, collections and payments infrastructure — treasury, controls and signatory rights.
-
Own tax strategy and compliance: transfer pricing, VAT, withholding, cross-border structuring.
-
Maintain financial reporting and keep the group permanently audit-ready.
-
Lead financial and legal reporting to local authorities and regulators.
-
Leadership & Team Building
-
Manage and mentor the finance team (group controller, office manager), expanding the function as we scale.
-
Build a culture of clarity, accountability and collaboration across a fully remote global organization.
Qualifications
-
Certified CPA.
-
Substantial experience in mobile apps, consumer subscription or tech B2B subscription businesses.
-
Proven FP&A and controlling experience across multiple jurisdictions.
-
Strong financial and legal command of international operations and multi-entity structures.
-
Sharp on financial modeling, forecasting and strategic planning.
-
Hands-on and detail-oriented — you like doing the work, not just reviewing it.
-
An excellent communicator, particularly in a remote, global, asynchronous team.
-
Builder mindset — you create systems and structures where none exist yet.
-
Legal education or experience is a plus.
-
Ability to work in flexible hours with the team across the globe (mostly Asia-Europe time zones).
Lines of Communication
-
Closely working with the CFO.
-
Direct report to the founders.
-
Close partnership with the COO.
-
External ownership of investors, banks, authorities and service providers.
