[Hiring] VP, Finance @Adelaide

Role Description

This position reports to the CEO and is responsible for leading the company’s finance function, including:

• Accounting
• Financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
• Tax management
• Treasury
• Financial reporting

In this role, you’ll oversee Adelaide’s financial strategy and ensure the financial integrity of the business while partnering closely with executive leadership to guide growth and operational decision-making.

Day-to-day activities include:

• Overseeing financial reporting and budgeting processes
• Managing cash flow
• Developing financial models
• Supporting board reporting
• Ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements
• Assisting with capital raises and corporate development initiatives

This is a fully remote role within the United States, with opportunities to connect with colleagues at our New York office. You’ll need to be in NYC a few times per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
• Proven leadership experience overseeing accounting, FP&A, tax, and treasury functions
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience building financial processes and systems in growing companies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• High level of integrity, accountability, and ownership
• Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and familiarity with accounting systems such as QuickBooks

Requirements

• Experience building or scaling finance operations in a startup or growth-stage company
• Experience working closely with CEOs or executive teams on financial strategy
• Prior experience supporting board reporting or investor communications
• Prior experience with capital raises and corporate development/M&A
