[Hiring] VP Accounting Shared Services/ Accounting Operations @Western Union

Role Description

The Vice President of Accounting Shared Services will be responsible for owning process excellence across the company's regional financial operating centers in Lithuania, Hyderabad, and Costa Rica. This role will oversee Accounting, Settlement, and Accounts Payable teams.

• Thorough reviews of current accounting processes and procedures across regional operating centers.
• Documentation of workflows, systems, and internal controls to identify areas of improvement.
• Develop and propose process enhancements that align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, Compliance, and Operations to ensure effective integration of new processes such as cryptocurrencies.
• Provide ongoing strategic guidance to senior leadership on accounting process optimization and governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, including leadership roles.
• Functional knowledge of ERP’s, T&E Tools, Payroll Systems, and other ancillary applications.
